The Active Duty has been discontinued and can no longer be order from the Busse because this has long since been discontinued! The Boney Active Duty was introduced by Jerry Busse in 2008 and has since been discontinued. The BAD Boney Active Duty is the thinnest blade out of all the Active Duty models are made by Busse Combat to have a thinner blade using INFI Steel that is thinner at around .135" thick with a higher Rockwell Hardness. With a higher rockwell hardness it will stay sharper for longer periods of time with use without having to sharpen as often. The Boney Active Duty was only made in a small run in certain color combinations in 2008 and has long since been discontinued! This has a Flat Ground Satin Finished Blade with Fine V-Ground Edge but the Handle is completely different. The handle is a Custom Hand Shaped/Smoothed Black Canvas Micarta G-rexed Fossil Bark Handle finished off with Solid Brass Bolts. But if you look closer, you will notice that's not a straight handle but in the belly of the handle, it's grooved so there is the index finger has a custom notch and fits in your hand much better. That's why this is a Variant. The Flat Ground Satin Blade with V-Ground Edge is Razor Sharp! This is from my private collection and has been a safe queen, This is Brand New: never used, carried or sharpened. This is made of the infamous INFI Steel which is a proprietary Steel is used ONLY by Busse Combat! This knife will be backed 100% with Lifetime Warranty from Busse Combat!
